A question we get from many sellers that we talk to is, when’s the best time of year to put a firm on the market?

You would assume that would be right after tax season.

And we certainly do end up marketing a lot of new listings shortly after tax season every year.

We do however, pick up listings every month of the year, and we market many of them these days, even through tax season.

It is amazing to me how many buyers make inquiries on practices or want to talk about them during tax season.

And so we never really stop talking to folks.

The question will be whether a seller or sellers have the time during tax season to be able to talk to buyers.

And if that’s not the case, our recommendation is to market the firm and let us screen and talk to the buyers and get them ready for when they are available to start conversations.
